John Schwarzlose is the founding Director of the Betty Ford Center. He was selected by Betty Ford and Center co-founder, Leonard Firestone, following a national search for the Administrator/Program Director in 1982, prior to the Center's opening. John has been a counselor and administrator in the Alcoholism/Drug Addiction field since 1972. He has served on many national Boards, including the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers and the Advisory Board of the National Institute on Drug Addiction. He is a Charter Fellow of the American College of Addiction Treatment Administrators. John has testified numerous times in Congress and has appeared on many national television shows as a spokesperson for the efficacy of treatment. |

John Boop recently celebrated his 40th year as a fundraiser. He joined Betty Ford Center in 1993, and now serves as the President of the Betty Ford Center Foundation. John coordinates the philanthropic efforts for both Betty Ford Center and the Betty Ford Institute. Prior to joining the Center, John served in senior positions at the University of Chicago and Tulane Medical Center. |

James Green joined Betty Ford Center as Chief Financial Officer in June 2011. He has served as CFO at a variety of nonprofit organizations over the past twenty years and holds Masters degrees in Business Administration from the University of Chicago and Public Administration from Northern Illinois University. He also has extensive experience in the investment field and holds a CPA certification. |
