Technical Help
If nothing appears after selecting a scene from the pull-down menus or clicking a dot on the map, chances are your browser's Java functions are turned off. The Virtual Tour viewer requires Java to function. Simply enable Java in your browser and try again. For Microsoft Internet Explorer users, click Tools>Internet Options and select the Advanced tab. Scroll about half way down until you see a series of Java Settings check boxes. They need to be activated. If you do not have Java installed on your system, you can download it free from Sun Microsystems by clicking here.

Navigation Instructions
When a RotoPix Scene is selected, either from the map or the pull-down menus, "click & drag" on the image to steer the scene in any direction (up, down, left or right). "Click and Drag" simply means holding down your left mouse button while your cursor is on the image, then moving your mouse. The RotoPix Image will follow your mouse movements.

Zoom Functions
You can zoom in and out of any RotoPix Scene by pressing your keyboard's Shift or Ctrl keys while dragging the image. To zoom in, hold down your Shift key and click the image. To zoom out, hold down your Ctrl key and click the image.

Selecting Scenes
There are three methods of selecting scenes: The Campus Map, the Pull-Down menus, and ClickPorts.

Campus Map: Click on a red selector dot on the Campus Map to begin the tour from that location.
Pull-Down Menus: There are two separate tour menus: The BFC Campus, and the off-campus Residential Day Program. Each can be accessed at any time during the tour.
ClickPorts: In every RotoPix scene you will see one or more spinning coins. These coins are portals to other locations. By clicking on a coin you can move to that location.

Image Sharpness
The RotoPix scenes are in motion when first displayed. Clicking on the image will stop its motion and instantly make it look sharper. In fact, any time you release your mouse button after steering a scene, the image will sharpen. RotoPix images do this because they rely on your computer's resources (memory, processor & graphics) to display properly. Since a moving image requires vastly more processing power than does a still image, the sharpening does not happen until you release your mouse button.
