Recovery Workshops


Many people are able to get sober by going through treatment. However, patients often find themselves relapsing following treatment over issues that they have not yet fully addressed, including relapse triggers, codependency, and relationships. Therefore, for patients who complete primary treatment, we offer a number of different Recovery Workshops.

Relapse Prevention Workshop

Questions Do you have trouble staying sober?
Do you continue to struggle with other addictions?
Benefits Learn how to feel good being sober.
Learn how to become comfortable in your own skin.
Learn to recognize relapse behaviors and triggers.
Prerequisites Completion of Primary Treatment(days 1-30)
Completion of Family Program
Referral to the workshop by treatment team in days 31-90 of your program.
Length of Workshop Three-day intensive Workshop held on Betty Ford Center Campus.
Workshop Cost No additional cost if you are a patient at the Betty Ford Center committing to 60 or more days in treatment.

Codependency Workshop

Questions Does your happiness depend on other people?
Do you have trouble setting healthy boundaries?
Benefits Learn to identify boundaries for self-care, as well as develop skills for setting healthy boundaries.
Learn how codependency behaviors can be relapse triggers.
Prerequisites Completion of Primary Treatment(days 1-30)
Completion of Family Program
Referral to the workshop by treatment team in days 31-90 of your program.
Length of Workshop Three-day intensive Workshop held on Betty Ford Center campus.
Workshop Cost No additional cost if you are a patient at the Betty Ford Center committing to 60 or more days in treatment.

Trauma Workshop

Questions Have you been a victim of emotional, physical, or sexual abuse prior to becoming addicted to drugs/alcohol?
Have you been sexually or physically abused during yout active addiction?
Benefits Understand the correlation between trauma and addiction and begin the process of incorporating a recovery program for trauma and addiction.
Learn to identify trauma triggers and coping skills.
Learn to practice self-care, find one's voice, seek safety, and set firm boundaries: emotional, physical, and sexual.
Prerequisites Completion of Primary Treatment(days 1-30)
Completion of Family Program
Referral to the workshop by treatment in days 31-90 of your program.
