Young Adults Track

Betty Ford Center recently announced the opening of a new supportive track for young adult males (YAT). It is designed for young men, ages 18-25. The average length of stay is from 3-4 months, if needed, the patient’s stay can be extended up to 6months

The track incorporates the solid foundation of the Betty Ford Center’s educational programs and adds to this an array of services specifically designed to support the needs of young adults and their families.

Services include: Intensive physical fitness programs, specialty groups, leadership and relationship groups, skills development, nutrition, career development, educational planning, anger management, and family relations. Also included are intensive 3-day workshops that address strategic issues related to co-dependency, relationships, trauma, and relapse.

The men live together, 6 to a house. This encourages an environment of teamwork, respect, problem solving, and support. Besides the dynamics of everyday living, cooking and cleaning, the YAT men also learn to challenge themselves through extensive physical and fitness activities, as well as develop the social skills necessary to support a healthy lifestyle.
