Recovery Workshops

Many people are able to get sober by going through treatment.  However, patients often find themselves relapsing following treatment over issues that they have not yet fully addressed including relapse triggers, codependency and relationships.  Therefore, for patients in Residential Day Treatment, we offer a number of different Recovery Workshops.

Relapse Prevention Workshop
Questions Do you have trouble staying sober?
Do you continue to struggle with other addictions?
Benefits Learn how to feel good being sober.
Learn how to become comfortable in your own skin.
Prerequisites Must be committed to a minimum of 60 days in treatment or more.
Must be a current patient at Residential Day Treatment.
Referral to the program by treatment team.
Required program element of the 90-Day Program.
Length of Workshop Three-day, intensive workshop held on Betty Ford Center campus.
Workshop Cost Included in the cost of treatment.

 

Trauma Workshop
Questions Has the patient identified a traumatic experience that needs to be addressed while in treatment?
Benefits

The Trauma Workshop is an intensive three-day program held at the Betty Ford Center to help patients enrich their recovery process by working on identified traumatic events.  In accord with other programs at Betty Ford Center the trauma workshop incorporates a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to address and integrate the symptoms of traumatic events.

Prerequisites Must be committed to a minimum of 60 days in treatment, or more.
Must be a current patient at Residential Day Treatment.
Referral to the program by treatment team.
Length of Workshop Three-day, intensive workshop held on Betty Ford Center campus.
Workshop Cost Included in the cost of treatment.


Codependency Workshop
Learn Healthy Boundary Setting Skills
Questions Does your happiness depend on other people?
Do you have trouble setting healthy boundaries?
Benefits Learn healthy boundary setting skills.
Learn how codependent behaviors can be relapse triggers.
Prerequisites Completion of Family Program.
Must be committed to a minimum of 60 days in treatment, or more.
Must be a current patient at Residential Day Treatment.
Referral to the program by treatment team.
Length of Workshop Three-day, intensive workshop held on Betty Ford Center campus.
Workshop Cost Included in the cost of treatment.
