MEDICAL SERVICES : (note)

PHYSICIANS ASSISTANT/NURSE PRACTITIONER : Full-time
Education : Associates degree; completion of a two year certified PA training program; and a certification from the National Certification Examination.
Licensure : License in the State of California or Nurse Practitioner License in the State of California
Experience : Three (3) to five (5) years in a JCAHO facility
Competencies : • basic Physicians Assistant skills
• able to conduct thorough history and physical examinations
• quality documentation and dictation of H & P's and discharge summaries
• medical management skills including detoxification mgmt, differential diagnosis skills and Treatment of common medical problems
• able to work productively and prioritize work appropriately
• strong communication skills
• Customer service skills

ADMISSIONS : (note)

ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR : Per-Diem
Education : Chemical Dependency Certificate/State Licensure or Bachelors Degree. Applicants that are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Chemical Dependency Certification Program will be considered. Successful candidates will be requested to submit/sign agreement to stay continuously enrolled and complete the program in a pre-established, reasonable time frame.
Licensure : Valid driver license. CPR certification required within first 90 days of hire.
Experience : Minimum of two years experience in a related position.
Competencies : Ability to read/write in English language; Good verbal and written communication skills; Computer typing skills with flexibility to use various software; Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to articulate clinical needs skillfully; Exemplary customer service skills; Organizational, time management, patience, flexibility, and ability to work with and as a team member in an environment conducive to stress; Knowledge of JCAHO standards; Ability to work with patients ages 18 to 65 plus; Ability to work with patients of varying cultural backgrounds.

CHILDRENS PROGRAM : (note)

CD COUNSELOR – Childrens Program : Full-Time - Exempt
Education : Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Child Development, Counseling or related field required. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Licensure : Valid driver’s license. CPR certification and Basic Water Safety licensure required within first 90 days of hire. Fingerprinting required within 90 days of hire.
Experience : Minimum of three years experience working with children. Knowledge of 12-step programs preferred.
Competencies : Group facilitation, teaching and individual counseling skills with children and families. - Organizational, time management, patience, reliability, flexibility, and ability to work independently and as a team member. - Excellent verbal and good written communication skills required. Basic public speaking skills required. - Exemplary interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate client needs appropriately to peers/co-workers. - Good customer service, outreach and marketing skills. - Ability to work with and communicate with clients ages 6 to 65 plus in age appropriate manner and assess and interpret age-specific data and responses to program services. - Ability to work with and communicate with clients of varying cultural, ethnic and spiritual backgrounds.
Hours of Work : As scheduled; Non-program work week is generally Monday through Friday. Saturdays, Sundays are required during program week. Some holidays may be required. Candidate must be willing to work some weekends and one evening per week.

PATIENT CARE SERVICES : (note)

CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY TECHNICIAN : Per Diem
Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licensure : C.P.R. certification or completed within 90 days of hire. Valid CA driver's license. All non-residents must show proof of a valid driver's license from the state in which they are primary residents.
Experience : One or more years work experience in a C.D. treatment program preferred.
Competencies : Ability to read/write/speak in English language. Computer typing skills, with flexibility to use various software programs required. Knowledge of a 12-step program. Organization and time management skills.

FITNESS DEPARTMENT : (note)

FITNESS TRAINER : Per Diem
Education : 2 or 4 year College degree in health, fitness or leisure education.
Licensure : CPR and AED certification or the ability to have within 30 days. Have a current AFAA Personal Fitness Training Certification or the equivalent. Have or be working toward a community Water Safety Certification within three months of hire.
Experience : Ability to facilitate groups in fitness and recreational activities. Personal experience with the disease of chemical dependency, either as a chemically dependent person in recovery or a family member in recovery is preferred.
Competencies : Computer knowledge of WordPerfect software/computer typing skills. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Documentation skills for patients progress with fitness. Organizational/time management. Ability to work as a member of a team. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of exercise equipment operation and maintenance. Group and individual fitness training skills. Good communication skills with both staff and patients.
