HOUSEKEEPING

Housekeeper : Full-time(1), Per Diem (4)

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
Licensure : Valid California Driver’s License
Experience : Some previous housekeeping/janitorial experience preferred.
Competencies : Knowledge of cleaning equipment, procedures and products. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and correct procedure to use them. Good communication skills must speak and read English, have a teamwork philosophy, knowledge of ethnic differences within patient population.

INPATIENT SERVICES

CD Counselor : Per Diem

Education : One of the following where degree is from a recognized regionally accredited college or university:
• Bachelor's degree in behavior science with C.D. treatment work experience of two years. Certified Alcohol Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree with CD work experience of two years. Certified Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) certificate required.
• Masters degree in behavior science CADAC preferred.
Licensure : Certified Alcohol Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) or equivalent to CADAC in California required. Also required C.P.R. certification or completed within 90 days of hire.
Experience : Two years experience working with a chemical dependency service provider with chemically dependent clients and /or their families. Personal experience with the disease of chemical dependency, either as a chemically dependent person in recovery or a family member in recovery, is preferred but not considered work experience.
Competencies : a. Understands and communicates effectively BFC's philosophy of care for chemical dependency patients.
b. Group counseling skills with adults and older adults from varying cultural backgrounds.
c. Behavioral healthcare writing skills.
d. Individual one-to-one counseling skills.
e. Public speaking/lecturing skills.
f. Knowledge of 12 Steps and abstinence based disease concept model of addiction recovery.
g. Knowledge of JCAHO standards.
h. Computer and typing skills - ability to use various software programs.
i. Age and Gender specific counseling skills - Aware of needs of different age groups and genders.
j. Multi Cultural Counseling skills - Ability to communicate and aware of needs of patients of varying cultural backgrounds.
Interpersonal : Organizational, time management, patience, flexibility and ability to work as a member of a team.
Other : Persons with a history of chemical dependency, prior to and throughout employment/providing services, shall be free of and have had the last five (5) years free of any chemical dependency.

SPIRITUAL CARE

Spiritual Care Counselor : Per Diem

Education : Master's Degree preferred.
Licensure : C.P.R. certification or completed within 90 days of hire. Addictions Counselor preferred.
Experience : 1 year experience chemical Dependency Treatment, 2 quarters clinical Pastoral Education preferred.
Competencies : Group facilitation, assessment; core counseling skills & ability to process grief issues. Familiarity with various spiritual and religious systems of belief; Oratory on spirituality and 12 Step recovery; accurate documentation of patient records; good computer s skills. Age specific: ability to work with patients ages 18 to 65 plus. Ability to work with patients of varying cultural backgrounds. Ability to read/write/speak in the English language.
